Jonathan Lakey

 

Jon Lakey has been on and in the Portland, Oregon jazz scene since 2008. He has been enrolled in AJAM since 2010 and has taught here since 2013. After appearing with Alan at the 2013 Jazz Festival de Vannes in Vannes, France, Jon has been the bassist in the Alan Jones Sextet and Social Music. Some other great local bandleaders he has been able to work with include Mel Brown, Ron Steen, Randy Porter, George Colligan, Darrell Grant, Warren Rand, Gordon Lee, Dan Fahnle, and Nancy King. National and international acts performed with are Mike Clark, Randy Brecker, Sonny Fortune, Azar Lawrence, Donny McCaslin, Gilaad Hekselman, Geoffrey Keizer, Ingrid Jensen, Francois Theberge and Tineke Postma.
